Threshold guidance

Solihull LSCB Thresholds Guidance

Working Together to Safeguard Children (2015) sets out the core functions of Solihull Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB). One of the functions is the development of a Threshold Guidance. This document is intended to assist professionals within Solihull to identify suitable responses to the needs they identify amongst the children, young people and families they are working with. It is not intended to be prescriptive or exhaustive, nor is it a definitive way to open or close a gateway to a particular service or range of services. Every child and family is unique. Their needs should be considered on a case by case basis, using professional judgement supported by this guidance. There is an A5 leaflet to assist practitioners to think about thresholds, but this is an aid only and the full guidance should always be consulted.
